About Me

Hello, my name is Kimber Weins. I am a student at the University of Florida currently working towards an undergraduate degree in Media Production, Management, and Technology. I am planning on expanding my education even further in the Spring of 2026. I recently submitted an application to the school of Journalism and Communications for their degree in Communications with a focus on Digital Strategy. I am someone who is very passionate about film, storytelling, and everything media based! I am excited to start working within the media field, as I have a lot of passion for the subject! As a filmmaker and a creator that has worked within digital spaces, I have put a lot of work into creating stories that intrigue an audience through powerful messaging, symbolism, color theory, composition, and emotional depth. However, creating meaningful content is sometimes not enough in today’s world. There is a great need to have knowledge of self-branding and media marketing. You need to know how to master the strategic frameworks of our ever so quickly moving media. Which is why I have a dual commitment to authenticity and innovation. I am very excited to one day combine my commitment to emotional storytelling with my passion for marketing within the media, once I attain my master’s degree.

In five to ten years, I see myself standing within a sort of intersection between different fields within the world of media! Meaning, I hope to be working and advancing within a job that combines storytelling, strategy, and emotional impact. Perhaps, leading creative campaigns, producing creatively rich media, and shaping well devised narratives that have the ability to resonate deeply and entertain the audience which will witness my future projects. My journey began with a passion for everything and anything creative! I have always had a passion for filmmaking and constructing deep narratives, as I believe storytelling (in whatever form it may be) has the ability to heal, provoke, and awaken. What started as a passion for just telling stories has now blossomed into a mission to create work that does not just simply entertain but can challenge biases and perceptions that people may have. It has turned into more than just trying to help people escape from their everyday lives. I want to effectively communicate through media in all of the different forms it may take.
